The New York Academy of Sciences invites you to “The Science of Aging: Combating the Onset of Age-Related Diseases,” a symposium scheduled for May 5, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 5:35 PM Eastern Time. This hybrid event will delve into the latest research on the biology of aging, emphasizing metabolic processes, genetic factors, and biomarkers that influence nutrient utilization, damage repair, and biological age. Discussions will cover recent findings in genome methylation patterns and omics technologies, highlighting their connections to aging metabolism and chronic diseases. The symposium aims to explore computational approaches, biomarker discovery, and the genetics of aging and metabolism, focusing on translating foundational aging models into higher species and the role of multi-omics in understanding the intersection of aging, chronic disease, and health. This event is presented by the New York Academy of Sciences’ Biochemical Pharmacology Discussion Group. Registration is open, with free attendance for Academy members.
